The Yantra Way

Happy Monday!
Hey guys and gals! BOY DO I HAVE A POST FOR YOU! I got a product that I can't believe exists! I am totally blown away and want to jump right in to telling you all about it. Ready? Here we go!

The Yantra Mat

The Yantra Mat is a European acupressure mat ("spike mat") featuring 8800
acupressure points that help to alleviate back pain, headaches, stress,
anxiety, insomnia and fatigue, and also aids circulation, lowers blood
pressure, increases metabolism and promotes meditation. It's easy to use,
easy to store, and makes for a great DIY therapy to unwind & relax after a
long day. Originating in Sweden, The Yantra Mat was just introduced in the
U.S. as of January, 2010, and comes in three sizes, starting @ $49.
Basically, you just lie down, and the mat will take care of the rest.
Although it stings at first (we're talking about a bed of nails here), after
a couple of minutes, you feel a 'tingling' sensation throughout your body
(that's the blood circulating, leading to better delivery of nutrients and
the release of endorphins and oxytocin, "the happiness hormones"). The
company recommends you start with 10 minutes a day and move up to 20-40
minutes once you've acclimated. It's a major 'time saver' for those who
have any of the above conditions and don't have time for daily/weekly
acupuncture or massage treatments.

As of June 28th, 2010 - The Yantra Kit will launch, which includes an
acupressure pillow (for head/neck), acupressure belts (for arms/legs/body)
and acupressure rings (for fingers). It is $29 for the Kit on its own, $69
for the Kit + Mat.

On the back of the Yantra Mat you'll notice an Indian meditation symbol, the Yantra. This word comes from the Sanskrit word yan, which means “form,” and tra, which means “free.”
When not in use, hang up your Yantra Mat with the back side facing you. Fix your gaze on the Yantra symbol to help stimulate and clear your mind. Let your consciousness disappear into the Yantra, and allow your thoughts to float past.
The Yantra symbol will remind you to breathe deeply and relax, even when you're too busy to lie down.

Back
Lie down on a flat surface. If possible, place a pillow under your neck. This stimulates acupressure points along the spine and can help soothe neck and back problems. Bend your knees to ensure contact with your lower back (or use on top of your mattress, for more contouring).

Stomach
Lie down on your stomach. This will loosen tightness in the diaphragm and respiratory muscles, and may improve your metabolism.

Seat
You can use the mat on a regular chair, or sit down and place the mat under your buttocks. This position will loosen tension in the lumbar region and buttocks.

Cheek
Lie down carefully with your cheek against the mat. If this feels unpleasant, use a thin sheet. This position can help loosen tightness in the neck and jaw.

Your peace of mind is not a luxury.
It’s an essential part of an active, healthy lifestyle. You’ve got the wisdom to value your well-being. So give your mind the rest it deserves with the ancient stress relief system.
With every use, the Yantra Mat reminds us: the body and mind are not distinct. The condition of one can affect the health of the other. That’s the Yantra Way: living fully – feeling more whole – through experiences that promote our body/mind connection.
Clarity. Focus. Energy. Peace.

The kind folks at Yantra Mat is going to allow me to do a give-a-way!!! YAY! I am so happy that they said that I could give one to a special reader! If you would like your very own Yantra Mat you can do one of three things to get entered.
1) facebook about the wonderful company
2) tweet about the mat and benifits
3) go to the site and tell me what you like most about the mat!

You can be entered three times if you do all three or just do one thing. Whatever you decide! I will announce the winner on the 14th so you better hurry!

At first when on the mat I thought, ouch! Then after a minute or two it was another story. I could feel the heat from the blood flow circulating through my body and could have laid there forever. It truly has helped my back and my soar muscles. I am IN LOVE with this product. I say go with the kit if you are going to get this product. If you want a alternative to paying a ton of money for massages and acupuncture, buy this mat.

Thanks so very much to Yantra Mat! I am increasing my time each week on the mat and it is getting better and better. I can not tell you how much I love it!
