It is Monday and what better way to start the day but with a review...WARNING....Your mouth is about to water.
Here's the skinny: Pure Market Express rotates five weekly menus—all different, all satisfying, all peppered with temptations—for which we source, shop, soak, sprout, slice, dice, dehydrate, pulverize, puree, vacuum-seal and ship 21 generously portioned meals—breakfast, lunch and dinner for seven days—plus desserts, snacks and occasional surprises. (There's nothing express about "cooking" raw yourself!)Order the entire week's lineup, then sit back and be served. Customize a package of fewer meals. Stock up on raw staples to do your own thing. Get a whole, conversation-stopping, truffle-rich chocolate cheesecake—"Mmmm"—for your next dinner party. Or, or, or ...Pure Market is your market. Wander our "aisles." See what looks good. Every impulse is a healthy one.
Their Story:
He said. She said. And together they said "Let's."Marriage is nothing if not a back-and-forth of ideas, nudges and armchair quarterbacking on the other's behalf (or to their chagrin). For Quentin (co-founder and Chief Executive Officer) and Rebecca Irey (co-founder and Executive Chef), raw foods the concept evolved into a lifestyle and then a business, making theirs a lively and ongoing volley. Quentin turned Rebecca on to juicing. She, in turn, became "a great evangelist for raw foods," recalls Quentin. "We had battles early on about losing her to the kitchen." Six months of trial-and-error plus a breezy pregnancy while 100 percent raw made them both believers. Once Luke, their sixth child, was born, however, "cooking" raw took time Rebecca didn't have. On a family RV trip, she told Quentin, "You know what would keep me raw? Making it for others." They hatched a business plan while waiting for the Fourth of July fireworks in Washington, D.C. The personal—keeping Rebecca raw—was soon eclipsed by business goals the likes of sourcing local ingredients and maintaining quality control. Still, she remains Pure Market Express' most discerning client, her passion evident in every dish.

Rebecca was so kind enough to send me a Signature Sample of a days worth of food. I was SO excited to get this package! It was my birthday and what a great way to celebrate. I decided that I would eat everything the next day. I took Friday off from work and not having to think about what I was going to eat was a gift in it's self. I was so pleased to wake up to this!
Raw or not. I kid you not. Best donut of my life. I am being serious folks, these were amazing. I bit into it and my eyes widened! It was more than perfect with my cup of coffee. The perfect pair.
Lunch was these babies.
Ingredients: Jalapeno peppers, (Filling) pinenuts, bacon (eggplant, ume plum vinegar, olive oil, cayenne), chives, jalapeno peppers, lemon juice, sea salt, black pepper. Look at the nutritional info! Now this truly is food you can feel good about eating.
These jalapeno poppers were kickin! I LOVED these. I added more spring mix to it and made it into the best salad yet! It really liked the "bacon" bits that it came with. Oh so good.
Later that evening I had the chili lime crackers and dip. Really good as well. It was a great snack and the crackers we really hardy. I was surprised. Ingredients: buckwheat, zucchini, tomatoes, pinenuts, golden flaxseed, sea salt, ground chiles, cumin seed, honey, lime, ground cayenne, garlic, olive oil pumpkin seeds.I give these a 10!!!
Dinner was something that I havent had in years....
Truly the sum of its parts or, rather, its layers, our lasagna employs wide strips of oregano-marinated zucchini in the noodle role. Next come a sauce of sun-dried and fresh tomatoes, pinenut mozzarella and a slather of pesto made kickier with pistachios. Two generous squares per portion. Ingredients: Zucchini, tomatoes, olive oil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, sea salt, cheese (pine nuts, water, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, sea salt), marinara (sundried tomatoes, tomato, onion, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, agave, cayenne), pesto (basil, pistachios, olive oil, sea salt, pepper).

I know that I have said it once but simply amazing!!! You seriously know what your doing in the kitchen.
Last but certainly not least was desert. This was actually the first thing that I ate from Pure Market Express. I got it on my birthday and thought that this piece of raw chocolate cheese cake was the perfect "birthday cake" so Thursday night after dinner I crawled into bed with this gem and my mouth thanked me for about an hour! I really took my time with this baby. Oh MY GAWD!!! It was better than I can even say.... Creamy, sweet, smooth and well, just right! I am using the pictures from their website and for one reason only....There was no reason to even take my own. All of the food looked exactly like the pictures on their website. I have never in my life ordered food from a website and when it arrived it looked just like the website. Look no further you really will get what you pay for with Pure Market Express.
Rebecca thank you so very much for being so great and allowing me to try the food at Pure Market Express. It was a wonderful experience and I am shouting it through the roof tops! I have told everyone that I know about it. I give this company a 11 (that has never happened before!).
