I love Mondays for this reason. Every Monday I go "Oh, gosh....another week! Bleh" but then I think to myself "Thank goodness because I get to start fresh and clean and get back on track", in case it was a bad weekend as far as food and drink goes. This weeks food is going to be different....Very different than my usual. I decided that a lighter breakfast is needed and then I can have a hardier lunch with carbs. See, I was having my carbs in the morning, going for my walk and basically only eating protein and veggies. I need to get in some carbs so this weeks food is going to be this. I am also going to try my best to cut the portions. I realize now that I am eating 6 meals instead of 6 snacks a day. When you know that you are going to be eating something else in 3 hours you really dont need to go for a all out meal. Snack sizes is needed. We will see if this works out better for me this week. So what is for breakfast for this week?

Then I had another hand full of almonds before my walk.
After my walk I came back to the office for this treat. I am hoping that this actually holds me over. All I know is that yesterday for breakfast I had a slice of whole wheat toast with pb2 and 1/2 a banana and it held me over for most of the day. I am telling you it is amazing what a change can do. I am putting it to the test today
for sure! So here is the new lunch! That is a rudis bakery organic whole wheat English muffin with two egg whites, fake ham from light life tomato, onion, I put some guac pepper on it. A side salad as well. I also had some unpictured cucumber and green pepper on the side. This was DAMN good! Way better than the usual salad and tuna. After work I am lifting some good Ole weights and then heading home to eat this beauty!
Thai peanut salad. I stold this picture! With a side of peanut dressing. I have decided something. Now I dont know you guys if this is a good thing or a bad thing but instead of my usual night time snack of a ton of fruit....I am going to do a trade.
I am going to have a drink instead. Now, I dont know if this makes any sense but when I have a drink I don't get that hungry and I realized that I could have a 100 calorie drink instead of my usual 200 calorie full of carbs right before bed fruit. I will see if this works out as far as the scale goes but who knows. I am going to give it a shot. Have any of you ever given up a snack for a drink and if so did it work out for you? Anyway, Happy Monday yall!

I hope that this week flies by. Stay tuned for more reviews and more from the life of Heather Heyn (that is me!)
