Good Morning! I am feeling great this morning! went to the beach and feel like a new person. Only the beach can make you feel so relaxed and refreshed. It was a HOT one in Florida but with enough cold beverages you can cool off easily. I hung out with my family and had a great time. I spend all day in the car yesterday and my back is really sore today from sitting all day in the same spot. I did however go for a walk yesterday when I got home I just couldn't wait. I had sat for hours and needed to get my blood going. It felt nice to be able to go for a walk. My knee is healing and my back is doing well too. I think that if I take it EASY this week I will be back at it next week. In the meantime I will be walking and more importantly to me....yoga! I cant wait for Wednesday! I am going to yoga for the first time in a while. I am ready too! So this week the eats will be kinda the same but a little different. I am going to be leaving out the bread and going back to my roots....I am having my love again! Organic oats, wheat bran, unsweetened almond milk, chia seeds, egg whites, dried cranberries and some chopped walnuts. Yum! It's back and I dis miss it. Next week will more than likely be the egg whites and toast but for now it is here to stay. I love oats even when it is hot. I am in a office all day so I barely know what the weather is like out there anyway. After my morning coffee and oats I did some much needed catching up at work and then headed to the gym for a 30 minute walk and 15 minutes of weights (LIGHT) I headed back to the office for something else that is a usual of mine....Tuna salad. I did mix it up though. I added some fresh garden tomato's (my grandmother had some for me when I went home) and a little chopped green apple. It was amazing and was the perfect twist for my tuna salad. I loved it. This is what will be my lunch more than likely for the whole week. You guys know I am infamous for being able to eat the same Ole same Ole day in and day out. Hey, that is what gets me where I am. Consistency. That is the key and the secret to achieving a goal. Speaking of goals I hit mine this morning and oddly enough right after a holiday. First I want to pat myself on the back before I go into the others. I went to Florida for the 4th of July AND a wedding. In most cases this could mean diet disaster this was a challenge I must admit but if there is one thing that I love it is a challenge. I did bring my own eats for the week but it was hard to make my own food when everyone else was eating something different without remarks and laughter. I did it though!!! I made myself grilled chicken salads ever single night and had oatmeal for breakfast, fresh fruit and nuts for lunch and kept on the diet. I didn't even have a slice of wedding cake (and boy did it look divine). I get home and what had happened? 117.2! My goal is met! I have been wanting to see that number for about 9 months now and I am not kidding. I was within 5 pounds of it for 9 whole months and was about to give up. Here's the thing though...I think that I hit this number because of one reason. I am loosing my muscle. I know it to be true (I am a flabby mess from the waist down) because of not being able to run of lift weights. So far I have lost about 4 pounds of muscle. Boy that makes me sad. I am okay with the number though because at very least I am not gaining weight. They do say though that it is easier to get it back after the first time of building the muscle, we will have to see about that. Anyway, I am at my weight that I was last year on this date (gotta love TDP!). I am planning on doing short walks, short swims and yoga for the next few weeks and then get back into dance. I may be totally out of shape by then. I hope not. Something else that is new for me is this! That's right...I started the cleanse. Colonix didn't come to me on Friday before I left which may have been a good thing. I can only imagine what my family would say about me making my own meals and then drinking and popping these pills on top of it. I started this morning. Not much to report except that I did watch a youtube video last night that showed the "cleanse powder" in water and they let it sit for a wile and it did look just like the pictures of what came out of the guy on the website. The lady on youtube was saying that it was a scam. I am not sure what I believe yet. Interesting though. I took the pills and then the powder. It was fine and I will just do a report each day telling you about my experience. Some days may not have much to report and others more. Anyway, my journey begins.
After lunch and a light workout I had some of these babies. I know that I have said a millions times that nuts are my down fall (I can eat about 500 cals easily). This time though I am counting out 25 and not eating any more than that. Period. I need to show myself that I can do this. I bought a bunch of Bing cherries and will accompany these almond joys! I love how sweet these red almost purple guys are. So good and on top of it on sale! These are perfect to pop in your mouth and eat. That is all the work day eats. When I got home I plan to go maybe for a light swim and then head home to have dinner. Last night I baked tofu and egg plant with red onion. This picture doesn't look that great but it is gooood. I will more than likely have a side of steamed broccoli. For desert...A big ol bowl of cantaloupe! I love how these are ripe and so refreshing. I am eating a ton of fruit lately! This bowl looks huge but it is about a cup and a half of cantaloupe. I decided to see really how much this was but cutting the slice that I wanted and then chopping it up. I was surprised at how much it made. I think that I was under estimating how much I was eating. That was a nice surprise. I did decide though that if I am going to be eating the fruit the bread in the morning has got to go. So for now it is yummy fruit. So those are my eats for the day and I am going to do my darnest to keep it clean all week. I can do this. I hope you all had a great fourth, I know I did. I will see you tomorrow and I cant wait to read your blogs! What would I do with out them!!!
