Mainly because it is not Monday anymore!
Today is going to be all about me! I have no reviews and so I will get to actually post a full page about my food and activity and life stuff. Last night I was in pain...My back was killing me and my knee is still giving me some issues. I went to yoga and was hoping that it would help me in the back and knee department but it didnt. This morning I am still sore in my lower back. No weights for me today. Instead I am going to get on the elliptical and walk. I will maybe be okay enough tomorrow if I am care. At least one thing is set in stone...No more dead lifts. I had to test it out to see what was causing my back to be so sore and I believe that exercise is the culprit. I think that sitting all day long at the desk doesnt help either. I am trying to not cross my legs while sitting here. It is hard though. I always cross my right leg over my left (the one that gives me trouble). Every time that I do it I try to uncross them.
On another note, I had my wheat grass shot with water this morning and it wasnt as bad as I thought that it would be. By drinking it that way I am saving about 80 calories. I am loving wheat grass so very much! I am going to have to get me more of it as soon as I am out. It gives me energy.These two babies are the perfect start to my day. Usually I just go with one shot but this morning I needed two. I am thinking that they should kick in any moment now! I am going to go and get some more gluatmine today at the health food store as well and this should help my back and knee as well. I have been taking glucosamine for a while but it just doesnt work. The glutamine does though for sure as far as recovery goes. I also found out that Acai helps with inflammation as well so that is good. I have been taking the Acai Revive now every morning for a few weeks. I cant really tell a difference with them but I am sure I am just over looking it. When you are taking things like Hoodia, Acai, Wheat grass and Noni it is hard to put your finger on what is working best. I think that all of them together is a powerful combo. There is two things that I want to change about my life...I want to give up the sugar free creamer that I have in my coffee along with the one splenda packet and the sugar free jello that I have in my fridge for that late night craving for something sweet. Yes, I eat both of these because they have little to no calories but if I could get the artifical sweeteners out of my life I know that I would be so much better off. I have already cut the cottage cheese out (which wasnt as hard as I thought that it would be) and I am going to cut the greek yogurt as soon as they arent buy one get one free. If I can omit the yogurt, creamer and jello I will be eating absolutely no packaged foods with no preservatives. Now that would be amazing. I would be eating 100% "clean". I would so love that and so right here and right now I vow to give up the creamer, splenda and jello. I will give up the greek yogurt when I am done with it. I really dont feel like the yogurt is that bad anyway. The artifical sweeteners are though :/ So please help me out and keep me encouraged to stay away from them! I want to be good...
Now lets get to breakfast. This morning is a chocolate mess! I loved it so very much this
morning. I added Organic oats, chia, wheat bran, walnut butter and some cacao bliss to the mix! It was delightful! I am so full!!! I am going to have to make this version again. It was like having desert for breakfast! So comforting. I was so surprised when Karen came home the other day and said "Heather, I bought you a present!" I thought it was going to be a chocolate bar of some sort and really didnt want to be eating that but instead she pulled out a jar of PB2!!! Yes, that is right my friends. The Daily (our co op) now is selling PB2. What a relief and life saver! Now I dont have to order them and pay so much for shipping! I am siked. So I am thinking that a banana and pb2 may be my raw breakfast instead of my oats in the morning. It is just starting to get too hot for oats. I am still going to try out the raw oatmeal breakfast but I am going to wait a while. I need a new blender : (
I want more than anything a Vita-mixer. I would just die if they would send me one. I blow up my mixer all the time because I try to blend things that a regular blender just doesnt want to. Smoothies is what gets me through my weekend. I always have one for lunch. Speaking of lunch...
This is what I will be having!
I am going to be eating this raw papaya salad that is the spiciest thing you have ever put into your mouth. This thing will get you running for some water! I love it so very much and completely forgot about my friend the Thai Papaya Salad until yesterday. I ordered it from a local restaurant here and will be having it along with a big glass of iced green tea. I love how spicy foods make you eat more of them. I always wish that I didnt eat it but then for some reason my brain says, more. This combo is sure to get me awake and get my metabolism going. I am going out for a happy hour drink with a friend today after work and she is setting me up with someone that is a good friend of hers. I haven't ever been on a blind date (if you can call it that because I will be accompanied with someone else). I dont even know why I agreed to do it, he lives states away. Oh well, it should be fun and at least I will be able to meet someone new. I am going to have two drinks max and they will be vodka and soda with a lime. My snack for today is a new found love. Sugar snap peas. When I was in San Fransisco I went to a amazing restaurant, Millennium and as a appetizer I had seared sugar snap peas with balsamic vinegar drizzled on top. It was so delicious! As soon as I got back to Athens I went to the store and picked some up! I have yet to re make the appetizer but raw, they are just as good. I love how they are sweet and they have that crunch that I need. It makes me feel so good knowing that I have changed my diet to all this lovely raw food. It is amazing how the little things that you do can make such a difference. I am learning that everyday.
Right before I go out I am going to eat this!Totally simple but will do the trick. I am in love again with tofu and this mix of tofu and veggies will be "what's for dinner". I am going to have some strawberries and a handful of raw almonds, if I need a little something afterward. So that's that as far as the food front goes. I am thinking that today will be a good day and should run smoothly. Mercury is in direct and boy I can tell. The full moon is this weekend and should be the last difficult one for me for a while. I read my horoscope from one of the best sites! http://www.astrologyzone.com/ it is a great site and the women that does the readings is just great. Usually right on too : )
Well I am off to go and get some work done and get on with my day, I hope it goes super fast. I will be reporting how the back is feeling tomorrow. Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!
