Lindsey, from Kay's Naturals sent me these goodies! I am sooooo happy to have them in my pantry right now. I opened most of the bags and had a sampling party with myself and a friend (Pete). This was fun. I opened first the lemon herb chips only because I thought that for sure these would be the worst tasting ones and then I could move on to a cinnamon flavor. To my surprise they tasted GREAT! I loved them actually. I am not a lemon herb flavor kinda gal, but I guess that I am now. I am not kidding when I say, these chips and pretzels are fantastic! Since protein is a HUGE concern or mine (trying to build a lot of muscle right now) these products caught my eye immediately. I looked on-line at their site after a friend told me about them and also found them to be Gluten Free. This is awesome because though I am not a siliac I prefer no gluten if I can help it. My friend Pete however is a Siliac and so he was the first person I called to come over when I got these babies! He was so excited! He never gets to eat these type of treats. Being on a budget (Gluten free foods are expensive!) These chips made both of s happy. Here is some info from the site because these are their premiere product.

Next we opened the pretzels and tried them out! these were just as good! I love how they come in little bags. I can take one to work or in the car or after a workout and be sure to get the perfect balance of carbs and protein. These were awesome. Who knew that a cinnamon pretzel could taste so good! I was sold! So was Pete!
So that was last night....What about this morning??? Well I will say this. I haven't had cereal for breakfast in about 4 years (not kidding). I did this morning and didn't feel bad about it at all!!! I usually don't eat cereal because even the "good for you " brands have too much sugar for me. These however didn't. This is my breakfast this morning, a banana with some fitnutz pb and the french vanilla cereal! Wow! I love the french vanilla so much! I want a whole box so bad. I chopped up some strawberries and made it extra special. With unsweetened almond milk....can you say heaven! I am hooked now! This is the perfect breakfast for me in the summer months because my oats is just too hot in the mornings now. Thanks Lindsey so much for the goodies! I will be loving every bite. Go to their website and see for your self all the products that they have. they have so many and they all are great!
After my lovely breakfast I had to read my e-mails, help some clients and clean my desk a bit. After a couple of hours I still wasn't that hungry (must have been the cereal!) but I knew that I needed to stay on schedule so I went to the fridge and got this. Stoney Farms greek yogurt (vanilla) with a little agave and some chopped pecans. Yum! The light snack that I needed. I guess my sweet tooth has returned. I am loving that the Greek yogurt that I love is buy one get one free still.
Today after sleepy for a whopping 10 hours almost I was a little soar but not as soar as my back was telling me I would be this morning last night. I slept with a ice pack on my back last night and woke up this morning feeling about a 7 out of a 10. That is much better than how I have been feeling lately. Now if I can just get my knees in better shape I would be golden. I hope to hear something back from my doctor today or Thursday. I am keeping my fingers crossed....
For lunch I am having a simple simple dish. I didn't have anything else to bring so I am having. Hummus and veggies.where is the protein??? I know! I mean yes, hummus does have some protein but because I lift weights on my lunch break usually when I return to the office I try and get about 30 grams of protein. This is my lunch today. Lets see if it hold me over. I did like the spread though. It made me happy to see some color and a dish full of veggies. I contacted a company that makes great hummus, lets see if they will send me some! I love hummus with almost anything. What is your favorite flavor?
About a hour later I went and scrambled some egg whites and a soy pattie. There is my protein!!!
After eating this I will only have about 3 more hours left of the work day and then I will run home to get my laptop and to a coffee shop where I am meeting with a client. Did I tell you that I started to meet with people to give them advice about workouts and nutrition? I am :)
This in particular girl I like a lot and I decided that because I like her so much she gets me for a hour and a half for free! She can ask me whatever she wants and I will tell her! If only I had someone like me when I started out. I struggled for years until I found what works for me! Anyway, after the meeting I will rush home eat this and then get ready for yoga! I cant wait to go to yoga tonight. One and a half hours of bliss! Quinoa, Tofu with mushrooms and steamed cauliflower. Yum! I am going to do my best to eat this at 6:00 so that I have a full hour before yoga to digest. There is nothing worse than having a full belly when you are doing downward dog!
After my yoga class I will get home to have a big Ole' slice of watermelon and then crawl into bed. This is the perfect bed time snack to me because it is sweet and fills me up because of the water in it. I love fresh fruit in the summer time. You cant get any better than this I tell you. When I get into bed I am going to be pulling out this new book that I got in the mail yesterday. The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity. I saw this book on another blog and she was boasting about it so much that I went straight to Amazon and bought it. I am a believer in the Law of Attraction. I have read about 5 books on it and try to practice it daily. This book is a little different. I already have some problems with it but will read the whole thing anyway. I will give a full review of it when I get done! Overall, I am in a great mood today and I hope that you are as well! Here is the numbers for my meals today. I feel like this is a enotmous amount of food. You tell me though...
1,109 cals, 23 grams of fat, 145 grams of carbs, and only 86 grams of protein. I wish I would have had my tuna so that my proetin was way higher. That is a lot of food~!
