El Injerto coffee

This my friends is Guatemala! I have actually been here and I know one thing about this gorgeous place! They have amazing COFFEE!

Being the coffee lover that I am, I must say, the morning I woke up in Guatemala I knew what I was going to do first....get a cup of freshly brewed coffee. It was like none other that I have ever had. To this day, I have yet to have a better cup of coffee. I could kick myself a million times for not bringing some back with me.

I contacted a company that I had herd wonderful things about. There coffee was boasted upon by several of my friends that are well traveled. I went to their site to check them out first.

The site was very pleasing. I liked that it was in Spanish and had a English version as well. I could tell immediately that I wanted to try it out so I contacted them and asked if they would send some samples my way. One of the first things that I noticed was all the awards their coffee has gotten over the years! I was impressed. They received "Cup of Excellence" since 2006. They also have gotten several awards for "Exceptional Cup" 2002, 2004 and 2005. Jesus Aguirre Panama' was the first owner of this farm, which he acquired during the year 1874. He started planting sugarcane to produce crystallized sugar known as "panela" (brown sugar loaf), corn, beans, and tobacco. Around 1900 he started the planting and the production of COFFEE and called the farm El Injerto, and "injerto" is the name of the fruit native to the area. With a long history and the impression that I was going to be blown away, I took the sample that they sent me and this was made:

Their mission is to produce a special gourmet coffee under strict quality control, focusing on social and environmental aspects.

Their Vision is to be the leading farm in producing, processing, quality control and marketing specialty coffee in the local and international market. Guaranteeing the customer in the different types of coffee (variety green, roasted, ect..) always the special quality of our tradition.

I must say...It brought me back to the place I was on the morning I had my most favorite cup of coffee ever! It was just like what I had and honestly I savored every sip. This coffee is amazing. Totally worth every penny you spend on shipping. If you are a coffee lover and you want a cup of coffee that will knock you off your feet, go to their site:

You will love it! They have a bunch of different types of coffee. Some of which are Natural Mixture-a juicy flavor with the classical flavor of Huehue fruits. A very clean and complex cup. This is the one that I tasted this morning.
Bourbon-Complex refined acidity, sweet jasmine, a touch of peach, tropical and citric fruits, lime, grape a creamy body, delicate but with a good structure. I can not wait to try this one!
Pacamara-Very complex, excellent body. well balanced, clean sweetness, a layer of fruits with a exceptional floral after taste.
Maragogype- The large one of the El Injerto family. A clean cup, elegant, heavy body citric and floral flavor.

I can already tell that every one of these would make the perfect "wake-up", after lunch, after dinner or evening cup of joe. I loved what I tried and will be updating you all on the others that I taste. Thanks so very much to Christian I am able to be reminded of the best coffee in the world. This is just my opinion but I would recommend you trying some out for yourself and letting me know what you think! If you have ever had any coffee from this coffee before tell me what is YOUR favorite variety! I want to know! I will give you updates as I taste the samples. I already know though that I am going to love them all. I give them 4 stars. If you want an exceptional cup of coffee please go to their site. You wont be sorry you did!

See you tomorrow!
