Becoming a Warrior?

Sweet Sweet February. I love you....but I dislike you. I LOVE you because you are the last month before Georgia weather starts to warm up.

I dislike you because it is usually the coldest month of the year here and really goes out with a bang. I am going to sit back though and just allow this month to fly by. I am moving at the end of THIS month (I know that you have been hearing about me moving now for months but it is getting so close!). So I love you for allowing me to start my new life. I also love you because you are short. I like a short month because honestly that means I get a paycheck sooner than later. I also love you because this is the time of year I get my W-2 form and able to file my taxes. Most people hate tax season but mine is pretty easy and any money is good money so I just do it as soon as I possibly could. There is another reason that I dislike February and that is....

This is not going to turn into "I hate Valentines Day" rant/post. We still have 13 days before that ;)

It's not that I hate it. It is just , well not the funnest day of the year for a single, smart, hot, cool, talented, fun, fit, interesting gal like myself! Ok, so can you tell that I am in a goofy mood this morning!!! I can either take this holiday (if I have a special person) or leave it (you get the idea.) I cant help but think about this day when the 1st hits. February just reminds me of...

And with that being said, I started the day with something sweeeeeeet as well. This bar tasted exactly like this:
Of course better for me than a box of chocolates that I would more than likely like one or two of the flavors anyway. Pecan pie is SOOOOO freaking good and this is by far my favorite bar. I really felt like I was eating a piece of pie. I will be sure to buy another.

I feel like Valentines Day is for girls (sorry dudes. Even when I had someone to share it with I didn't go crazy with the bad gifts. My question is this:
Why have only one day where you show your special someone that you love them?

It should be something that is shown all year! Over the years, even when I was dating someone I usually just cooked dinner and made it a special evening at home. There is nothing worst to me than a over crowded restaurant where they want to get you in and get you out as fast as possible! I am going to just hang with my girls and be happy to just be single and free! Unless that is....A miracle happens (and yes, I do believe in miracles). Just kidding!

Ok enough of that business. It is Monday peeps and I am glad to start this week off! I have a issue that I am dealing with this morning but other than that, I am doing fine. My car is getting some work done this morning and I am not looking forward to the bill. Like I said before, tax season is here and I was hoping to be able to get some other much needed things done with it instead of pumping into my car. Over the last year I have already pumped 5,000.00 dollars into it. I have spent every ounce of savings and slammed the credit card down more than once. I have to keep telling myself "Heather, it's how you deal with bad situations that allow them to pass." I am just dealing with it. Crap happens and heck...they will more than likely happen again. I have said it once....I will say it again. No more used cars for me.
Right before my gym session I ate this. This is my new favorite thing in the world! I know that this sounds like the oddest combo but you cant knock it before you try it!

Banana, PB omelet. Yes, if drizzled with agave....It is pancakes, without the cake of course!

How do I do this you ask. Well I will tell you.
First you pour the egg whites (you can do two egg whites and one regular one if you like, or all eggs.) It's about what you like. I prefer egg whites!
Anyway, pour the egg whites in the pan like you would any omelet. Then chop up a half banana (if you love banana, use a whole). Cover and allow to cook. Once it is cooked in one side spread peanut butter (or whatever nut or seed butter you like) sprinkle with cinnamon and fold. Once plated if you want the "full effect" drizzle with honey, maple syrup or agave. Whatever floats your boat. I tell you one thing....you will thank me if you are a dieter or you want a new breakfast, packed with good carbs, protein and fat. You can not go wrong on this one! I am so glad to fuel up for my workout with this today!
Today is Monday so that naturally means, weights and a walk with K after work. I am not sure what to focus on, I am sore all over. Not a really bad soar but a light, you kicked my butt Saturday sore :)
When I get back it will be this! Tahini (Living Tree rocks!) steamed veggies with cashews and tofu (buried under all those veggies). I am looking forward to this weeks lunches.

After getting home depending on how tired I am I will be doing a short or a long walk. I will have to wait and see how the legs feel today. I was suppose to take a day off last week but with training and all. I didn't. That means I have worked out straight since January 15th. Not good. I have however, not done both sessions and only one a few times. I am doubling up on the water today and making sure that I get in a mini yoga session tonight at some point. I will say this guys....Interval training is where it is at! I am seeing results that are blowing me away. Come March I am hoping that this 6 pack will be back! Almost there! I wonder if by May or June I will decide to compete. I have been thinking about doing this. I have a friend that asked me and it looks to be an amazing event. She has put together a team and has asked me to join. When I looked it up I realized that this type of intense competition is right up my alley. Take a look at what you look like when you decide to become a warrior: Ummmm, yeah. No joke.
Warrior Dash is the ultimate event for thrill-seeking athletes. This running series is held on some of the nation's most demanding and unique terrain. Participants will conquer extreme obstacles and celebrate their feat with music, beer, warrior helmets and muddy shorts.

I know myself and just how competitive I am. If I go....I will be in it to win. This is the first time that the Warrior Dash has come to Georgia! It just looks like too much fun not to go! I will have to wait and see what the funds look like closer to May. It will be held May 22nd and that would give me plenty of time to make up my mind. It could be the summer fun I am so hoping this upcoming season is packed with. We will see.
Well, I gotta go pick up the Volvo so I am going to run now. See you tomorrow. I have a wonderful review and I hope to have more this week as I receive things! Yay! By the way....one of my FAVORITE bloggers is doing a great giveaway for her 1 year anniversary!
I hope you all have a speedy Monday.
