Getting in the right mindset

This morning is MONDAY...I wish that word could be followed by a exclamation mark or a warm and fuzy feeling but unfortunatly...it cant. I like every single day of the week (Saturday being my favorite) however Monday is usually filled with stress and just getting back into the groove of things after a relaxing weekend. I have to get my cup of joe and ease my way through it. I am going to change my mood this morning and try my best to be positive. Have you ever started out in a bad mood and it just spiraled into a whole day of moodiness? It seems that if I make it a point to think about the good things going on in my life, I can turn a bad mood around. Try it next time...If you wake in a bad way, change it by thinking of three things that are going right in your life. Oh, and smile while you do it :)

This morning I have some really important things to talk about. I got some of my absoulte favorite things in the mail the other day from Nativas Naturals! I have no idea how they knew....but they did! I must admit, everything on their site either already is or slowly becoming some of my favorite products. Seriously...Go to their site and check them out...Their website is packed with unbeleivable products!

I recieved three products that I use on a regular basis. I was so happy to get one inpaticluar because I was almost out! These products changed my life in so many ways and all of them have AMAZING benifits! I am so excited to tell you all about them and the produst they carry! What am I waiting for? Lets dig in!

The first product that I want to introduce to you is Coconut Oil.
Coconut (kon-kuh-nuht) Oil
a white, semisolid oil extracted from fresh coconuts (Cocus nucifera).
Tropical Tree of Life
In tropical regions around the world, the harvest of the coconut palm is such a valued dietary staple the tree has affectionately earned the reputation as simply the “Tree of Life.” Coconut oil – the oil that is left after the fiber is extracted from the large coconut “seed” -- is among the most nutritionally beneficial components of this food. Navitas Naturals offers a fresh coconut oil in a virgin and centrifugal-pressed from, a delicate process which allows the full nutritional potential and light buttery taste of this power food to be best enjoyed. Our organic oil is pure and white in its spoonable solid state, and may be easily melted, if desired, into a clear liquid by simply heating the oil to above 75 degrees.
The Power of Coconut Oil
A dependable food for those seeking high-energy and/or a lean physique, coconut oil’s benefits are widely celebrated. A cholesterol-free source of healthy plant-based saturated fats (very different from the damaging animal-derived saturated fats), coconut oil features medium chain fatty acids (MFCAs), and especially lauric acid. Among the many benefits of MFCAs are long-lasting energy, increased metabolic rates, as well as anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal activity. Coconut oil may also be used topically to beautifully rejuvenate skin and hair.
Navitas Naturals Coconut Oil has a light tropical fragrance and inherent buttery taste, which faultlessly enhances both savory and sweet dishes. Because of its stable molecular structure, coconut oil is also among the healthiest (and most delicious!) choices for heated culinary applications. Try coconut oil in place of olive oil or butter in stir-fries, sauces, and baking. Or enjoy it as an exceptionally satisfying addition to oatmeal, toast, and smoothies.

Up next is Chia seed. Anyone that knows me well, knows I use this product almost everyday. Thank goodness I got this bag, I am almost out! I sprinkle Chia on so many things. I Use it to thicken up foods, my smoothies and even cook with it. I present to you, the almighty, Chia.
Chia (chee-uh)
Chia is a plant (Salvia hispanica) of the mint family, native to the southwestern U.S. and Mexico, having mostly basal, oblong leaves and small blue flowers; the seeds are primarily used as food.
Aztec Seed of Strength
A long, long time ago – long before the era of terracotta “chia pets” -- the chia seed was cultivated and eaten by the ancient Aztecs, Incans, and Mayans and was considered a staple food alongside corn and beans. “Chia” is the Mayan word for “strength”, and though these cultures may not have had the medical research to back up their health claims, chia is enjoying an escalating renaissance by today’s medical community as well as everyday consumers. Also full of dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals (especially calcium and iron), chia has much in common with flaxseed, with the distinct advantage that its natural antioxidants make its delicate healthy fats more nutritionally stable. Navitas Naturals offers the wonderful chia seed in its whole organic state as well as in a sprouted powder form.
The Power of Chia
Chia seeds are an excellent source of dense nutrition with their healthy omega oils, easily digestible protein, and antioxidants. In fact, chia is so high in essential fatty acids that it contains eight times more omega-3s than salmon, gram for gram. Also full of dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals (especially calcium and iron), chia has much in common with flaxseed, with the distinct advantage that its natural antioxidants make it’s delicate healthy fats more nutritionally stable. Research has linked this valuable food as a being beneficial for many health issues, including diabetes, hypoglycemia, celiac disease, and lowering cholesterol.
Have a Chia Boost
Navitas Naturals Chia Power has a mild nutty flavor, and develops slightly sweet notes when sprouted. It may be used much like flax powder in creating a power breakfast: just sprinkle a spoonful into oatmeal, granola, cereal, or yogurt. It also works very well as a flour substitute and can be used to make hearty breads, crackers, and more. Additionally, chia is considered highly hydrophilic – meaning the seeds have a unique ability to absorb liquid and form a gel (basic chia gel recipe). This makes chia especially good to use as a thickening agent in recipes like soup, smoothies, or enjoyed as a pudding with a touch of sweetener.
