Dream a little dream with me...

Ahhh, I wish that I was here!!! Wouldnt you like to join me?

Happy Hump Day to all of you bloggers and readers this morning. It was not the easiest getting here this morning but I made it! It is tough doing errands before you have your coffee!

I am here now and that cup of joe never tasted so darn good, check it out! Now that is a steamy cup of joe! I am soooooo than thankful to work somewhere that has the BEST coffee. Along side my coffee I had this amazing bar! I got a few in the mail from a company called BORA BORA!

Exotic pomegranate, rich pecans and ripe cherries. You’ll feel better with every bite.
Benefits:
Cherries are thought to have natural anti-inflammatory effects and are a great source of antioxidants.
Pomegranates are rich in antioxidants and natural immunity boosters. Recent studies suggest they may help improve cardiovascular and prostate health.
Pecans may promote healthy cholesterol levels thanks to their high levels of antioxidants, vitamins and mineral content.
This Wild Pomegranate Pecan bar was soooooo delicious this morning. I LOVED it! I had my roomie try one last night (the oatmeal raisin one) and she loved it as well. "It is chewy, sweet and really kept me full a long time." She ate it before a vigorous yoga session and was glad that she did! They sent me the bars along with the cutest tiki cup and a t-shirt (which I wore yesterday to the gym by the way ;)
Go check them out! They have a lot to offer.

When you read the ingredient label, you'll notice that there are only a few ingredients, and you recognize all of them! These bars are organic and preservative and additive free. And they taste great! My favorite flavor was sesame raisin-it had the perfect consistency and was sweet, but not too sweet.
SELECT INGREDIENTS: Organic Pecans, Organic Cashews, Organic Sultana Raisins, Organic Cherries (Organic Cherries, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Organic Sunflower Oil), Organic Agave Nectar, Organic Whole Grain Crisp Rice, Organic Brown Rice Syrup, Organic Sunflower Oil (Organic Sunflower Oil, Natural Tocopherol, Organic Rosemary Extract), Organic Cherry Flavor, Organic Pomegranate Juice Concentrate.

Is Organic All It’s Cracked Up to Be?
Fifteen years ago, organic seemed like a wild concept dreamt up by some idealists who were concerned about the future health of the planet and of their own bodies. Today, organic is widely embraced by food companies across the world, from small manufacturers to the largest corporations – and for very good reason.

At Bora Bora, they believe wholeheartedly in the value of organic food, both for the Earth and for those who eat the products we create. First, organic food tastes better (try our certified organic bars and you’ll quickly agree). Second, organic standards insure there are fewer pesticides in our air, in our earth and in our bodies. Third, organic farming helps build and renew healthy soil – ensuring the planet stays fertile for future generations. I love that this bar is gluten free, organic and dairy free!
Thanks so very much to the folks at Bora Bora for sending me the cutest package ever! You guys rock! If you like a on the go snack this is the one for you. With only 170 cals, 22 grams of carbs and 4 grams of protein, it is the perfect pre or post workout meal. It really has a lot to offer and take it from me...It is one of the best bars that I have tried. Bora Bora gets a 10 from me!

So there you have it, another rave review from another company that I am in love with!

Let's move on to some other subjects that I really have been wanting to touch on. I have been one busy bee these last few weeks. With Christmas right around the corner I am going non-stop. I still have to finish my shopping!!!

What do I do to keep my spirit's high when traffic is terrible, people are rude, and the cold weather sets in? Well, I have a few tactics and here are the 5 that I try to live by.

That's right! relational, spiritual, physical, financial and intellectual.
Everyone knows the power of positive thinking. This, despite the fact that positive thinking is a concept itself, it is fairly well known. If you are among those who have doubts about what positive thinking can do for your life, it's time for you to find out the benefits. It could change your life forever and help you achieve what you want. Initial benefits of positive thinking should be clear to anyone who uses this practice. Thinking positively about a condition, situation or person is a way to ensure that you always have an optimistic feeling associated with it. This means that even in the most difficult situations in life, you will survive because you're able to keep your thoughts and good feelings positive. Some experts believe that the power of positive thinking goes beyond the internal effects. A number of studies show that positive thinking can help prevent disease or even encourage the body's immune system to fight disease better. Researchers began to discover that positive thinking can help people get what they really want out of life. This is something related to the concept of the law of attraction. In a sense, the positive energy you create tends to define the results you get.
With this being said what I try to do every single day is realize that there is abundance. When I get stressed out, I count. I know that this sounds weird but when I am mad, sad or just irritated I start counting. Count anything. If I am driving I count the cars. Walking, I count leaves on a tree. At home, I count the objects on the wall paper. What I find is when I count anything my spirits lift. I realize that there is abundance and life isn't so bad after all. Try it next time when you are about to yell, rip your hair out or give up doing trying. Life really does have a lot to offer.
The other thing that I do is exercise, of course you know how I feel about being active and the benefits that it brings to your moods. I know that during the holidays you feel like you are being pulled every direction and running non-stop but is important to continue to take the time for yourself. A lot of people agree that their gym time is their "my time". I have herd it from students, mom's and business workers. Going to the gym is the one hour that some people get to their selves. I know that I don't know what I would do if I didn't have a hour a day where I turn my i-pod all the way up and sweat. Moving helps elevate your mood in so many ways. I love the feeling after I run. I get the best adrenaline rush and feel great about myself. It also allows me to not feel so guilty about eating a holiday treat every once in a while. If you exercise and that slice of pumpkin pie comes your way, you wont think twice about eating it. I know I dont!
These are just a few tips and don't worry more are to come! I want to do the reviews that I have and then dig into some Holiday cheer. I have already devoted posts to staying "green" during the holiday season with recycled paper, healthy holiday favorites and a super intense short work out that you can do at home or at the gym. What else could I possibly talk about? Well my friends...Looks like you will have to continue to read to find out.
Until next time,
-Heather
