This morning I am sore....I mean SORE.
I met with my new trainer yesterday and I thought that the workout wasn't that great. Well my body said other wise. Thank goodness I went to yoga last night and stretched. I doubt that I would have been able to walk this morning. I am glad however that I am feeling something. There is nothing worse than getting in a "good" workout and waking up the next morning feeling like you didnt do anything. I want to feel a little soreness. Of course this is not exactly my cup of tea.... Today's eats are all over the place folks just go ahead and take my word for it. After I woke up, got dressed and headed for the door I grabbed this.
I got these a couple days a go and was going to wait for the weekend to try them out. I planned on going on a hike and thought that this would be the perfect snack along side some raw almonds. Anyway, I opened this little guy in the car and took a bite....A few things came to mind. First, I thought "this is not that sweet." THIS IS A GOOD THING. A lot of companies that sell dried fruits and such soak them in juice or some sugar so that they are super sweet. That just tastes fake to me and I dis like that. I am so happy that someone has gotten it right. The second thing that I noticed was that it was crunchy, just like a chip! I know that is what they are going for and all but I thought for sure that there would be one limp apple slice in there. Nope, all crunch, all the time. The third thing that I noticed was that I was getting a WHOLE apple and not that many cals. Take a look!
Now this truly is food you can feel good about. I was pleasantly surprised! Thanks Yogavive! You guys rock. Check out there website! They have a ton of flavors!
This is a little bit about them straight from the site!

All in all I give them a 10! These are truly really good snacks for at home or on the go. I am hooked! Thanks so very much for letting me try these
out! YUMMY!
This morning I had half of this peach and some lovely raw almonds as well. I love putting anything in a heart shaped container, it just makes me happy. After a few hours I was still HUNGRY (yes, it is one of those days...) so I had some carbs to really stick with me. This is one of my favorite combos! BANANA and PB2 on Rudis Bakery Whole Wheat Bread. Nothing beats it! Well......maybe my oats but I am out! Yep, This gave me the fuel to get through my walk for lunch and when I returned I
had this.
Now, since I already had one piece of bread today I didnt want to over do it so I just ate half of this "ham" sandwich and gave the other half away. Yay! Me. I also had some purple beans from the garden a few slices of baked egg plant from the garden and a bell pepper dipped in spicy mustard. Who needs another half sandwich when you have all the yummy veggies you could ask for?!? I was better off for it!
After work I skipped right on over to my Zumba class....Yes folks, that's right! I am officially back at dancing! I am so happy about it too. I am only taking one dance class a week (to start back up) but I tell you what....It switches things up a bit for me and allows me to just let go....When I got home, it was dinnah time!
I tried to go extra light and healthy for dinner since I went a little crazy today with my meals. So it was baked chicken encrusted with cashews and a baby side salad. Well you know that you cant have a meal like this unless you let yourself have some "desert"....
My style:
Half baked acorn squash with agave! YUM. This is not your ordinary desert but I wouldn't have it any other way. I swear, squash is the best, warm, sweet and comforting on a breezy Fall evening with a cup of pomegranate green tea. I couldn't be more happy! So all in all, today was great! Thanks for reading and come back tomorrow! I have some surprises!!!!
Luv ya!
