GIVE ME MY COFFEE!!!!

And that is exactly how I feel this morning! I needed a HUGE cup of coffee this morning to get going and that is exactly what I did. I am just now (at 9:00 a.m.) waking up I feel. I hate to be a downer but....I hate Mondays. I like the fact that I get to start all over again as far as my meals/work outs but I hate just knowing that I have 5 days to go before another "rest". Lets be positive shall we? I have a amazing review so stay tuned to the blog (it will be at the bottom!).

This weeks breakfast is going to be much different. It is not going to be oats...It is going to be this!


A big Ole' bowl of Fit Nutz peanut butter and a banana chopped up. The people at Fitnutz sent me over a large pack of their original flavor. They already sent me some samples but because I liked it so much they sent me a full size. How sweet of them! Thanks so much! I am loving the peanut butter this morning! Simple but absolutely one of my favorite things to have in the morning. I decided to give this combo another try. Honestly because I realized that my oats was getting up in the 400's as far as calories go and that is just a little much for breakfast. After I add in the chia, wheat bran, sugar free creamer, nuts and anything else I decided to throw in it can get up to 500 cals if I don't watch it. This breakfast is about 200 cals. I can live with that. The real question is...Can it hold me over? This weeks meals are going to be light I can tell you that. I am hoping that the hot weather will make me not want to eat that much I will say I bought more fruit last night than I have in forever. I bought: Mango, strawberries, banana's and watermelon. I am loving the fresh fruits this summer for sure. I cant help it! I have been waiting for this all year. A few hours after breakfast I am going to have 4 egg whites and a soy sausage patty. I got the "maple" ones this time. They are pretty darn good! This is the protein bomb that I need right before my workout for the week. No more nuts for me this week anyway. I managed to go through a pound of raw almonds and a pound of raw walnuts last week. I know that nuts are good for you but they are such high calorie. I am glad that the "sausage" patty is making an appearance again. This plate is going to be very light and I am thinking that with the hot weather it will be more inducive to my appetite. I am however taking a full day off from exercise today...I fell last night. I had on some slick shoes and the concrete floor I was walking on had some water on it. I fell on both knees. My neck is killing me this morning and both knees hurt bad. This is probably the worse thing that could have happened to me considering just Saturday I was starting to feel "normal" again. Now I am back in pain. So no working out for me today. I need a full day off anyway. Lunch this week is going to be tuna (again) I always go for the simple tuna salad for lunch. Will I ever get tired of it?I am going to add spinach to this to make it more filling but didn't want to add it before I actually ate it because of wilting. This will be the light lunch that I need to feel good today about not getting in a good workout. For my snack it will be cucumber, celery and spicy Thai hummus. Yum!I LOVE cucumbers right now and with the right hummus it is almost a meal. I also like how it fills you up! I am having this week the Thai hummus and it is amazing. Spicy but not too spicy. Tonight's dinner is going to be at a restaurant. I have no idea where because it is my friends birthday and I am going to just go wherever she picks. I hope that it is somewhere inexpensive and somewhere I can get a huge salad! We will see. She is going to text me where she wants to go about 5:00. So after dinner tonight we are going to go to the movies and watch this! We have a awesome independent film movie theatre here in Athens and this is showing tonight. I am siked! I haven't been to the movies in forever and seeing Annie Hall on the big screen is going to be great. The low key evening that my bum knees need. I am going to do my best not to have anything to drink tonight (it is going to be tough though because this movie theatre serves beer and wine!) You gotta love the thought of sitting in the theatre with a glass of red watching Annie Hall! Hopefully I can have some will power and just say no.



Ok, on to the review. My friends at Amazing Grass sent me some bars in the mail. I was so happy to get these.
I am not really a bar kinda person but I do have to say...THESE WERE AMAZING! The chocolate covered one was so damn good! Sorry but I had to say it! As soon as I got them I put them in the fridge. I had the chocolate covered one first and I was so surprised at how good it was. The other one was made mostly out of dates and was equally as good. I am just a lover of chocolate so I fancied the chocolate one more. I want a box of these so bad!!!! I am not kidding, this is something I would love to be able to eat all the time. After a work out I ate one and man did it make me feel good. The perfect amount of carbs (good ones!) and protein after busting some butt in the gym. I love em! I didnt think that a company could exist that each and every product was awesome but Amazing Grass is. I have no real reason to boast about them as much as I have except for the fact that they have won my heart over! I am addicted. I have already made my Mom, sister and Grandmother order the wheat grass powder. Now I am going to have to get them to try these bars. You should too to see for yourself.
